(In the Philippines the Masses are 24 hours 7 days – every hour there is a Mass. I like to go every day, but we have special days to go – Wednesdays and Fridays and Sundays. )

What does prayer mean to you?
For me, prayer is a time to talk to God.
Prayer for me is mostly by myself one on one – that’s why I always stay the back and always concentrate.

It’s not only for asking for something from God; but every morning I thank God. That’s always my routine when I wake up. I thank God that I am still alive. I offer everything for the day. At night time I thank God again for the graces I had for the day for the good health and other things before I go to bed.

In the Philippines the Masses are 24 hours 7 days – every hour there is a Mass. I like to go every day, but we have special days to go – Wednesdays and Fridays and Sundays. I think we are the only (fully) Christian country in South East Asia, Philippines.

Who taught you to pray?
My parents we were always praying at home when we were young – we always pray the rosary every day and we always go to church – we were very involved with the church and different church organisations so that’s why we always pray.

Church is only once a week and there are 7 days, so we always give a day or even an hour to God. During the holidays we have – we give religion class to teach the kids – first holy communion classes.

Tools for prayer
I have an altar. We have an altar at home. (It is normal for) Filipinos to have an altar in their home.
